If your looking for a solid Chinese restaurant pick that’s near the Rittenhouse Square area, this is it. I was joined by one of my Philly co-workers who had recommended Square on Square to me.  He said that it was “by far one his favorite places for Chinese food in Philly”, and after having such a wonderful meal there, I can see why.

The wonton soup I had was deeply flavorful with generous portions of noodles and shredded BBQ pork meat, the egg roll was crispy and tasty. Each of the dishes that we ordered were delicious and well prepared. I especially enjoyed the Generals Powell Spicy Chicken.

The service was friendly and efficient, and the ambiance itself was plain and comfortable; as though they’ve been there for many years.

I hope that I have a chance to revisit Square on Square and further explore the menu, as I really enjoyed this first trip.
