Lawrence’s is one the oldest shrimp shacks in the city and they still do a great job. If you want try the real deal Chicago style deep fried breaded shrimp, this is the place to do it.
It’s the closest thing I’ve had to the long closed original Joe’s shrimp shack that used to be on Goose Island (the place that supposedly invented this style of fried shrimp in Chicago).
